DIY Problem Solving: Bathroom Box

Living in small historic apartment is a little tricky.

Our bathroom has a radiator running beneath the sink and behind one half of the toilet making a étagère impossible without cutting off one leg. We also needed a tiny bit of counter space that wasn’t the top of the toilet tank and if it added a little extra room for handy storage that would be even better. I opted for a tank top box that put the surface more or less flush with the sink and ran over to the small bathroom cabinet.

It’s a simple pine box with a grey stain I made myself on the inside and a clear acrylic finish. It was an excellent excuse to buy a light duty nail gun and I’m sure I’m going to be building more boxes or shelves soon.
